It is a document that accredits the status of a large family and grants benefits throughout the Spanish territory, and allows you to enjoy advantages, discounts and benefits before institutions, entities and commercial establishments.
Together with the collective title for the whole family, an individual card is issued for each member of the family, for personal and non-transferable use.
It is a non-mandatory procedure, but one of high interest for families that meet the requirements for a large family and want to access the benefits and bonuses that the title offers.
These advantages are related to certain social, fiscal, labor and educational benefits; advantages in the field of housing, and discounts on certain daily services that affect the domestic economy, the purchase of vehicles, transport, leisure and other services offered by some private companies.
VERY IMPORTANT
The title expires on the date indicated on the document and can be requested at any time.
Domestic couples recognized by a certificate of cohabitation or notarial act, or who have a son or daughter in common, are recognized as ascendants.
In cases of breakups or reconstituted families, no one may be counted in two different family units at the same time.
Foreign nationals from other countries will have the right to recognition of the status of large family under the same conditions as people with Spanish nationality, provided that all family members who give the right to the title legally reside in Spanish territory.
In the case of non-EU foreigners, it is required that the residence permit of all the members of the large family be valid, and the expiration date of the title may in no case exceed the date of said permit.
Families that at the same time have the right to recognition as a large family and as a single-parent family are issued each of the titles, which are compatible. Even so, benefits of the same class or nature are not cumulative, unless otherwise established.

The general category, which includes families with three sons or daughters, or two, if one of them is disabled.
The special category, for which one of the following requirements must be met:
Families with five sons or daughters or more.
Families with four sons or daughters, of which at least three come from multiple births, adoption or permanent or pre-adoptive foster care or two multiple births.
Family units whose annual income, divided by the number of members, does not exceed 75% of the current minimum interprofessional salary, including extraordinary payments.
